letters for lily & the long distance process

When a potential customer is interested in placing an order for hand painted letters, they always ask… “So how does this work?”
I thought I would give you an example of the most recent ‘long distance’ order for hand painted letters I have done.

A bit about the special customers…
We spent the 2010-2011 hockey season in Helsinki, Finland. Calla & Jeremy are a great couple that we were fortunate to have spent the season with, now they are expecting a baby girl! C&J spend the off-season in their hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, which is where Baby Lily will first come home to.

Step 1
Calla sent me links to the crib bedding that they picked out for Lily. It can be found here.

Step 2
Once Calla set up Baby Lily’s nursery she sent me pictures. I love to see what the room looks like as a whole, I take into consideration, wall color, patterns, furniture, special toys, decor etc…

If the customer has something in particular in mind I go with it, but in this case Calla instructed me to take a look at the pictures & go ahead with any ideas I may have. I saw that the theme in Lily’s bedding has wonderful pops of color {I LOVE color}, great polka dot accents, & sweet little safari animals that kept popping up. The walls in her room were also a perfect blank canvas to decorate with bright color! This is the final result…
